1. Purpose

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the HeadControl software and associated website, published by HEAD CONTROL.

Use of the software or website constitutes full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms.

2. Software Description

HeadControl is an accessibility software that allows users to control a computer interface using head movements and facial expressions via a webcam.

The software is provided free of charge, without guarantee of service continuity or freedom from bugs.

3. Terms of Use

The user agrees to:

  • Use the software only for personal and lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to modify, decompile or disassemble the software
  • Not redistribute the software without written authorization from HEAD CONTROL
  • Not use the software for commercial purposes without prior agreement

4. Limitation of Liability

The HeadControl software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

HEAD CONTROL shall not be held liable for:

  • Any direct or indirect damage resulting from the use or inability to use the software
  • Any interruption, suspension or malfunction of the software
  • Any damage caused to the user's computer equipment
  • Any data loss

The user acknowledges using the software at their own risk and responsibility.

5. Intellectual Property

The HeadControl software, its source code, interfaces and all components are the exclusive property of HEAD CONTROL and are protected by intellectual property laws.

Any reproduction, even in part, is prohibited without prior written authorization.

6. Donations

Donations made through the website are voluntary and final. They do not entitle the donor to any consideration, product or particular service.

HEAD CONTROL reserves the right to use funds received for the development, maintenance and improvement of the software.

7. Modifications

HEAD CONTROL reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Modifications take effect upon publication on the website. Continued use of the software after modification constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

8. Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and in the absence of amicable resolution, French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.
